Five months of cost savings………………
Posted by: | CommentsSince joining FC Procurement in May this year, I continue to learn every day about our supply partners, our value proposition, how to exploit our improved website and most importantly, how to better understand our customers and specifically what they want and expect from us and our supply partners.
The current economic environment is difficult to work in and even more difficult to succeed in. Maintaining status quo is also a stretch target for most companies. When someone comes along offering “a reduction in non-core overheads expenses”, your immediate reaction is, as was mine as a former Managing Director and Financial Director….what’s the catch? There is simply not one!
Five months have flown by fast. I look forward to helping more companies to realise how easy it can be to save money over the next five months.
We read and hear the news these days all around the £81 billion in targeted national savings. FC Procurement has not set its client spend savings targets that high for now!
Glen’s backing the beard for England and Macmillan
Posted by: | CommentsInspired by James Corden’s call on his World Cup Live programme to Back the Beard and not shave until England
return home from the World Cup, I thought I might be able to generate some money for a good cause, Macmillan Cancer Support.
I shaved, as I do every day on the morning of Saturday 12th June, prior to England’s first match and will not shave again until England are coming home. Hopefully after a victorious World Cup Final on the 11th July. I will be regularly updating myTwitter feed with updated photos of my increasing hairiness.
If you’d like to support this worthy cause, so that my hairiness is not in vain, please visit:

Les Pynn
FC Procurement is pleased to announce the appointment of Les Pynn. FC Procurement saves companies money on their non-core overheads at no cost or risk to those companies.
Les will lead FC Procurement and build on its reputation in the marketplace of matching selected quality suppliers with clients to deliver the savings that make the transaction beneficial for all parties. Les brings significant financial and business experience to FC Procurement following his international career in Canada, the USA and Latin America and since relocating to the UK in 2001.
Les has spent most of his career in aerospace at Pratt & Whitney Canada and Rolls–Royce North America in the USA. He held leadership roles in many client facing business units and managed many companies in several Latin American countries for Carrier Corporation in Miami, Florida, USA.
As a former Finance Director, Les has first-hand experience dealing with cost reduction while maintaining quality, service and value for money.
“I have known Les for nine (9) years since he arrived in the UK” said Glen Feechan, Chief Executive, FC Procurement. “I am excited to work with Les and I am confident that his experience and drive will bring immediate benefits to FC Procurement and, in particular, to our clients.”
